libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl software package provides Perl extension to generate and test check digits, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl
libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl *
You will get with libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
